The State of Emergency

     The revoke of my writ of habeas corpus began early of February 23 night. It began when I came home from school, a bit distressed but a little prepared for the greatest feat imaginable - the production of cellophane flowers due the next day. Not just one, but four flowers that could take a long time to do.

     I did start organizing things when Kim Sam Soon was playing on the TV (channel 7) and separated colored tubes of newspaper so that I could weave petals and leaves more efficiently. I continued weaving until it reached Jewel in the Palace, where I finished all petals and leaves that could be made from all those colored sticks. I did 6 red petals, 3 green leaves, 5 alternating yellow-orange petals and 4 blue petals. I left some orange and yellow sticks for pistils and pollen.

     I wouldn’t surmise being dopey over the issue (halata bang tinatamad ako mag-sulat?) so I’ll just tell you that I finished all flowers at 3 in the morning.

     I had only three hours of sleep (I was a dead drag when I woke up 6 in the morning). I rushed everything and got away the house 6:20. I reached school (we went up the Skyway) at about 6:50 or less or more, and I saw a lot of Mascians all crowding up the front.

     No classes.

     What I particularly hated about this one was the flowers, it was due that time, and I was stuck with drooping eyes and lack of sleep.

     Most BDT people (Mendel-Ptolemy mix) and I walked to Baywalk for aerobics, but we were late, so we did walk to CCP and rented bicycles. I rode a P50 rusty mountain bike. Some got sidecars andsome got ordinary bicycles. The ordinary bikes were a little bit hard to control, but they are quite speedy. When it got hot in the area we left.

     We walked to Harrison Avenue and ate breakfast meals at McDonalds. Almost everyone got pancakes to eat, except for Lou who ate some sausages, Kalen who ate twister fries and Cean who had a sundae float. Afterwards we got to ride an almost empty jeep which travelled a long way out until we reached Lawton and walked to SM Manila.

     We even got to victimize Nica by making her believe that we were not going anywhere. Vanir told her she was with Cean and her mother, but the truth was everyone was a lot quite. Then Nica was calling Maton and she told her that we were going to SM.

     We first got to play DDR and Para upon entering SM. I was having trouble with retaining energy. I always feel heavy and my legs were cramping because of lactic acid formation. I missed Para dancing, because it was almost a month when I last played here.

     Everyone then just realized it was a state of emergency. Nica, Angelie and Nño went home, Philippe was already being called by her parents. Vanir just disappeared with Cean (she told me that they went to Lazer and when they came back to Quantum, we were gone) and the rest did some planning.

     Who even cares if everyone rallies, as long as just one hour we could try to play.

     Defense of the Ancients.

     I mean it; I am not a good teacher. I find things hard to explain when I fully understand them. I taught the game basics like attack and movement. Our first game I was a bit ruthless and I created an in-game fear for Maritoni and an urge for revenge for Julius. No, I’m joking. I was a bit ruthless with playing though. Philippe came in and taught the rest tactics. My team mates were Pauline and Loussane. As usual, I got to use Rhasta, Pauline made an expertise of Lina Inverse, and Lou had a good but crestfallen game. She used Rylai and we were both confused on how to use her skills and Julius always went for her and got to use arrows.

     After the game they were hooked. Philippe and I are some good and some bad influence (Vanir told me that she didn’t want to try it because she may get addicted) and they created a schedule to play. Nice one.

     I went home and tried to think about the state of emergency. What an emergency. Well, emergencies tend to create room for more events that could be good or bad, fun and sometimes dreadful. What happens next, we don’t really know. It’s just a start.
