Riding Home

Just a while ago, I was standing up in a St. Rose bus because I went home a tad earlier than usual *the absence of my social studies teacher was worthwhile* I encountered a bus filled to every seat. The spaces left where for my legs to endure until the bus reaches Alabang. I had hoped the travel would be fast.

Standing up was not common, but I didn't do it often. My placement in the bus as I climbed up was interrupted by a concerned comment.

"Hirap ng nakatayo, pero mabilis na kasi ang biyahe dahil puno na."

It was from an old lady sitting beside the window. I don't know if she's terrified of the fact that I was standing up. In such speedy conversation I only got to nod repeatedly in mute agreement with her statement.

As the travel progressed, I began to feel a bit sleepy. School was tiring as it is, and I find a little solace for sleeping while in the bus. However, I was standing up, so that chance would fade. For a while.

My heavy messenger bag suddenly rose up in a strained hassle.

The old lady tried to weigh my bag, checking if my shoulders were being burdened by gravity. She offered her lap for my bag's resting place. I declined profusely, seeing that I would be disturbing her peace of travel due to my bag's extreme mass.

She suggested the luggage counter above.

I obeyed, for respect and gratitude, and I stuffed my huge bag unto the narrow containment. I felt a relief. I got to rest further.

The bus started filling up the remaining standing spaces in the bus. Soon, I was stuffed into the aisle of the bus. Jammed inside, I couldn't bother anyhow. However I couldn't find a comfortable grip.

And there was a drowsy feeling. I was lulled to sleep by the travel, and soon I was sleeping, standing up, propped up for balance in my grip.

My grip loosens up when I lose consciousness. In that very critical moment inertia always gets me. Soon enough, I thrusted forward into another passenger.

Damn.

Sometimes, I would fall down vertically, my knees bending. The last thing that happened is my head hitting another person. Then the bus reached the toll gate.

And the first part of my homely journey was done.

That's all.

Ciao~

Second Road Trip

Ateneo seemed like a non-existent place for me (and for Philippe). It became a matter yesterday.

Yesterday was the deadline of submission of the ACET forms, and Leslie has not submitted yet. Time check: 3 pm.

Pre-stop: Maceda Building Room 13. In a dark room Philippe, CM and I were singing broadway while Leslie accomplished her ACET form.

First stop: Mercury Drug Store Faura Branch. Philippe planned to get his body measurements in the 5-peso machine. We didn't have coins for the moment. We left.

Second stop: KFC Faura. I had to eat with Newton first, I got to eat first before my classmates had their orders. I even got to try Extreme Hotshots. Oooooh, they were so spicy. After ph,cm and leslie were finished, I left too.

Preliminary Travel Plan: taxi to Ateneo.

We got to ride a taxi though. The fun part is the taxi driver does not know where Ateneo is. He brought us to UN for free.

Secondary Travel Plan: LRT to Edsa, Edsa to Quezon Ave. via MRT.

Then another taxi to the school of the blue eagle.

Third Stop: Ateneo de Manila University. The taxi got up to the Office of Admissions. That was the first time I stepped into Ateneo. There was a long queue, and we got to proofread Leslie's essay.

We also encountered Pausiu and Janica.

Travel Plan: walk out of Ateneo. *absolutely tiring and ridiculous!*
Modified Plan: Tricycle. [then one zoomed behind us]

We jaywalked at least twice inside the campus. We searched for tricycles. We found one, but it could only carry 3. Pausiu, Janica and I went first.

The travel was long. We reached a rotonda and we parted there. err, they parted away, I stayed to wait for ph,cm and leslie.

They came.

Travel plan: LRT 2 to Recto.
We were dismayed at this point. The path taken by the LRT 2 is obviously much shorter than our first mode. Well, we didn't know what station leads to Ateneo anyway.

Travel Plan *Haggard*: Walk to any food establishment.

Fourth Stop: 7/11 Dorotheo Jose. The street brings back memories *the bleach escapapde*

We were revitalized after a few hotdogs and drinks. Jokes were the topic of the conversations. they even got to laugh at my medicine, a large capsule which ph said looked like a suppository. we even chuckled at the corniest of jokes *includes my adviser's*

Travel Plan: LRT. I would land at Central station. They would be going to EDSA or Gil Puyat *not sure...*

Travel Plan to my sister's apartment: Jeep signed Blumentritt Dimasalang. THIS IS SO WRONG!

I reached a unknown lace by the time. I backtracked and asked for Maria Clara St. I was led there, and I walked the wrong way. I had to call for help. I was lost.

I stood at Maria Clara cor. Lacson Ave. My dad fetched me there.

That was a long day.*im losing touch of writing...*

All Coughed Up with Fever to Go

Haggard Awareness Week has become Influenza Weekend, and if I am unlucky, might become a loooong weekend.

I need to recuperate badly. I might risk missing 2 to 3 days of class if my body doesn't cooperate with me.

My conjuctiva are red, my lips are flaking, my BP's 80/60 *this is low*, and my teeth hurt *newly adjusted,, it's not related with the flu but it adds up with my pain*, my head's on another roll, my breath is as hot as a flat iron *I tried exhaling on my hanky, and the heat of the hanky seemed like it was newly pressed*...

I hate it when I get sick. I rarely get sick, but when I do, I am the worst of all patients.

*cough cough*

Oh, I need some rest and some exercise *believe me, this combination works...*

Snapshots of my HAGGARD AWARENESS WEEK

After 2 days of exams, whew, I still have the guts to write even though I have a long paper in due tomorrow. The tests for seniors are so stressful! We were working overtime on the papers that would seem years to answer. People keep extending even though the time limit is up. I feel a terrible bout with low grades later on.

Snap.

My week is so stressful, and it’s not yet even ending. I still have a few tomorrows and a lot of work to cope with.

Snap.

One thing in particular though, was my project in English. It was an interesting task. The mechanics read “create your own chapter in the little prince”. This is nice! I love the book. And surely being part of it would be a dream. *well, this is just a project…* This also includes illustrations, which demanded color and Exupery’s flair.

Snap.

The choir sang for Japanese delegates just this morning. It was a rush performance. We sang Leron Leron Sinta with 4 voice types. I didn’t know Ating Kupung Singsing *is this title even correct* and a lullaby that I knew, because my mom sings it for my nephew. We also sang Lupang Hinirang with a notorious tone (the basses *that includes me* were too loud… and we didn’t have a piano… Our pianist Kyle wasn’t at school yet.

Snap.

Advanced chemistry and Humanities are tomorrow’s exams! I can withstand chem., but humanities…. Nooooo….

And I still have that paper. I need to compare countries.

Writing Before The Day of Turning Fate

I'm not stressed. I'm lucky that I feel this way right now.

Well, what's pressuring is the projects and the periodic tests. I even have assignments that could kill me right now. I haven't touched one problem in math. I'm started on my templates, which I keep on repeating because of lines that I cannot erase. They keep on extending. *Fine, they are my mistake. But my hands are not good with rulers and straight lines.*

The ink of my Gtech is falling low already.

I've enjoyed my days before the test.

I'll relay them later. I'm a bit unable to write.

Ciao~

DREAMS

I will become a nurse, then become a doctor, then become a Master of Professional Health Education, and teach at UP someday.

I will have my own house with a very large garden, filled with flowers and trees.

I will get a 1.0 in at least one subject in my course of education in UP. (Now this is ridiculous. But please let me be happy.)

I will have musically-trained ears. Someday. =)

I will learn a foreign language by heart. =)
